The opening image of the visits starts with Pantheon and Fori Imperiali.
Analysis of the sites include:
An on site explanation of the design periods of architecture, a description of the projects themselves, use, entrances, urban context, historical evolution, important figures, key regeneration projects in the process of conservation, geometry among others.
Since the first visit is in the heart of the city center, the students will also have the chance to understand the orientations and the distances from their hotel.
The following heritage visits include the Domus Valentini and the Colosseum.
The role of public space will be questioned and explored in depth, revealing the optical richness of the paths as created with the evolution of the urban grid.
This will be a first effort to locate ancient dominant types in a contemporary urban context and unfold strategies and instruments that act as catalysts in the evolution of the city.
Materiality, structural forces will be analyzed leading students to understand the miracles of engineering that have been an asset in the whole process of conservation.
